Japan Rail Tickets is a service of Fast Train Ltd. We run two of the most popular websites for international visitors to Japan: Tokyo Cheapo and Japan Cheapo.

We've been giving travel advice on the Japan Rail Pass and the best ways to get around since 2012. This site brings together the rail travel options available to visitors throughout Japan: passes and discount tickets, ready-made itineraries and guides to the busiest stations.

Writers

Gregory Lane has been based in Japan since shortly after the not-so-calamitous events of Y2K. He's written hundreds of articles on Japan and is one of the founders of Tokyo Cheapo and Japan Cheapo.

Carey Finn spent seven years in Japan and still calls it her second home. She has written extensively about travel and is one of the senior members of staff at Tokyo Cheapo.
